The
Advanced Practice Certificate Program in Adoption and Foster Care Competency provides
advanced education and training for mental health professionals
in specialized theories and practices for working with all
members of the adoptive triad, including birth mothers and
fathers; adoptive mothers and fathers; and the adopted person.
The Advanced Practice Certificate Program in Adoption and Foster Care Competency
is in particular committed to certifying practitioners who
are employed by public child welfare agencies and those
employed by licensed foster care agencies.
